The graph aside shows the accumulated amount of donations to the Tory Party since 2001 from forty one individuals or companies linked to the private health care industry.
The accumulated figure for that period is more than £8.3million. The information is accessible from the Electoral Commission website donations reports. These are ones that are known of.
Perhaps the so-called 'principled' Shirely Williams is unaware of the links between the Tories and private healthcare interests ?
Perhaps she was also unaware of the Tory Lords with links to healthcare interests, who have been so keen to vote through the NHS Bill in the House of Lords as well ?
Meanwhile, the Lib Dem party activists performed their usual act of facing both ways at their spring conference, by voting not to drop the NHS bill on Saturday and then refusing to endorse it on Sunday !
This trick won't save their candidates in May's local elections.
Voters have seen crocodile tears from the Lib Dems just before elections are due, once to often.
